Barrington Robotics Club
A place to learn robotics without the pressure of competing. Students build and learn at their own pace, with no season, no eliminations, and no requirement to ever step onto a field. We run it in partnership with our FTC teams.
Beyond our own
build season.
We bring the robot to the community
Students take the robot out to community events, demonstrate what it does, and explain how it was built. Seeing a machine move — and meeting the students who made it — does more than any presentation about STEM careers.
We are expanding into underserved communities
Robotics is expensive, and the schools that need it most are usually the ones least able to fund it. We are working to extend our outreach to nearby underserved and underrepresented communities, so that access to engineering is not decided by which district a student happens to live in.
